Jack and the Beanstalk - Stage Production Photography - Bolton Little Theatre
With its witty humour, directed as much at children as at adults, there's no need for much of an introduction to the famous Christmas time Pantomime "Jack and the Beanstalk". As always it was a great pleasure to photograph it for the Bolton Little Theatre this year.

Written by Alan P Frayn and directed by Paul Cohen, the play follows the comical antics of well known characters: financially struggling Dame Dotty Dimple, her brave son Jack, hilarious son Simple Simon, and their beloved gentle pet cow Buttermilk.
The family in the centre of the play live under the rule of gentle and rather confused King Crumble, and his wife Queen Apricot, both parents to sweet princess Charlotte.
They all live in fear of a scary giant send to terrorise the kingdom by the wicked witch Picalilli and her henchman Rancid the Ratman, plus a pair of bungling bailiffs Snatchet & Scarper.
But not all is lost, thanks to the bravery of our Jack, with help and little magic from Fairy Sugardust together with audience involvement.
The cast in no particular order:
Dame Dotty Dimple - Ryan Smart-Stanton
Jack - Chloe Heaton
Simple Simon - Carl Hughes
Snatchet - Guy Tudgay
Scarper - Jason Taylor
